Wiele jak Liam Neeson, zawsze robię listy. Jeśli jesteś zaznajomiony z Comic Book Herald, wiesz, że są to zazwyczaj masowe listy kolejności czytania, z głównym naciskiem na komiksy Marvela (i trochę DC!).
Poniższa lista jest zupełnie innej rasy, i jest raczej zbiorem wszystkich moich ulubionych komiksów i powieści graficznych, które kiedykolwiek przeczytałem. Za każdym razem, gdy czytam nową serię komiksów, dodaję ją do listy i umieszczam na liście wśród znaczącej konkurencji wszystkich najlepszych komiksów w historii.
Są dwie istotne uwagi, które chciałbym dodać zanim przejdziesz do listy.
1 – Nie twierdzę, że przeczytałem wszystkie najlepsze komiksy wszech czasów. Jestem dosłownie jednym człowiekiem (w najlepszym wypadku pół zwierzęciem, pół maszyną do robienia imprez). Ta lista jest ewoluującym organizmem, który będzie nabierał nowych kształtów w miarę jak będę zbierał nowe książki. Jeśli masz swojego ulubieńca, którego nie widzisz na tej liście, z chęcią usłyszę o nim w komentarzach, na Twitterze, przez e-mail, na ulicy, od bezcielesnego głosu unoszącego się na moim strychu… załapałeś o co chodzi.
2 – Przeczytałem o wiele więcej komiksów Marvela, niż jeszcze umieściłem na tej liście. Zmienia się to cały czas, gdy ponownie czytam serie Marvela w ramach My Marvelous Year, a następnie szereguję tytuły. Ponownie, jeśli szukasz swoich komiksów Marvela, sprawdziłbym również moje ulubione 100 historii z lat 1998-2015, lub 25 najlepszych kolekcji handlowych Marvela z lat 1961-1998.

Na koniec, rankingi, które tu zobaczycie, to prawie wyłącznie komiksy, które bardzo lubię. Im wyżej dany komiks jest w rankingu, tym bardziej go lubię. Jedynym prawdziwym, rażącym wyjątkiem jest „Wanted” Marka Millara i J.G. Jonesa, którym gardzę ponad wszelką wątpliwość i tak naprawdę chcę go umieścić na ostatnim miejscu tej listy tylko po to, by mieć jakiś sens. (Cel? To śmierdzi.)
